To ensure you have a pleasant stay, we kindly ask you to take a moment to read the following recommendations.

 

For your safety, a fire extinguisher is located in the pantry, a fire blanket is available near the BBQ area, and smoke detectors are installed in each bedroom and in the living room.

 

The wooden shutter panels (persiennes) are delicate to handle. Please don’t hesitate to ask us if you need help using them.

 

We provide anti-limescale tablets for laundry, as the water in the Dordogne is very hard.

We also use eco-friendly cleaning products. Please do not use bleach.

 

Please note that the house is equipped with a phyto-purification system. Only toilet paper may be flushed down the toilets.

Bins are available for all other waste.

Do not flush wipes or dental floss under any circumstances.

 

The local council applies strict rules for waste sorting and recycling.

There is no garbage collection service at the property. You will find collection points nearby:

 

♻️ One is located in the village of Veyrines-de-Domme.

♻️ Another convenient point is on the Route des Coteaux, towards Castelnaud-la-Chapelle.

 

Please make sure to dispose of all your rubbish before leaving the rental.

 

The swimming pool is protected by a safety cover. Please close it whenever the pool is left unattended.

The key to the pool cover must always be kept out of children’s reach.

Reusable plastic cups are provided. For your safety, please do not use glass containers on the wooden deck around the pool.

Parasols must be closed when not in use or when you are away.

 

Cleaning is included in your rental, except for the following:

 

• Dishes must be washed

• BBQ and kitchen ovens must be left clean

• The refrigerator must be emptied

• No organic matter (food or drink residue) should be left anywhere in the lodge (on floors, walls, in the sink, or on furniture)

 

A cleaning surcharge will apply if these basic hygiene guidelines are not respected.

 

Beds should be stripped (sheets removed) before departure to help with the check-out process.

 

The property is not fenced and may present potential hazards for children: stone walls, ponds, the lake, natural areas to explore…

Please keep an eye on children and never leave them unsupervised.

 

The lake is accessible from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., except for the chalet and its surroundings, which remain private.
